Theme: Family
By Yuxi Hou

Throughout our photographic workshops, Yuxi returned, constantly, to her family when exploring the themes of our sessions. Whether her sister, grandparents, brother, or mother, her subjects were more often than not people from her daily interactions. In her words, she finds it fascinating how different families and cultures approach celebrations and deal with grief, as well as the intergenerational attitudes towards more domestic materialities, such as the food available in the UK, objects her siblings and grandparents bring with them while traveling, etc.
